Testimonials

I’ve had the pleasure to see Mike’s work first hand for quite a few years now. As many know, I am immersed in all things Mopar and I’m hired constantly to validate, inspect and critique world class Mopars. Mike’s work is truly NEXT LEVEL stuff. I’ve never seen anything close to it as far as level of OE detail and true understanding of what originality is. The painstaking efforts taken by he & his crew to emulate factory authentic detail is un-paralleled.

I had the privilege to inspect one of his recent restorations, a 70 Hemi Superbird, both prior to restoration in it unrestored state and through its journey through restoration to its current state. I watched this car being transformed from a very good original survivor to an exceptional example of closest to factory original as humanly possible.

This may be the best restored Super Bird in the world known at this time. As a matter of fact, this may be the best Mopar ever restored to date. The attention to detail is second to none in my opinion.

The exceptional level of restoration was validated by winning the Best of Show at the 2014 Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals, and achieving OE Gold at the 2015 Chrysler of Carlisle in Carlisle Nationals. The car was judged by the foremost experts in the Mopar world. The judging team consisted on Frank Badalson, Paul Jacobs and myself.

I personally have been restoring, judging and validating cars for over 30 years that this may be the closest to a score of 1.0 that I have ever seen.

How can you aim for the best if you don’t even know what you are aiming for?

I’ve been a collector of high-end sports and rare muscle cars for great part of my life. I’ve used many of the supposed “it” shops over the years and thought that I was getting the very best available. Since I started working with Mike and his crew of talented craftsmen, my eyes have been opened. I’ve always considered myself a seeker of the very best in my collecting and I must say the knowledge and attention to detail that Mike’s shop brings is unlike anything I’ve experienced before. He has given me a very good education on the differences that set him apart from other shops, other restorers that claim to be tops. How can you aim for the best if you don’t even know what you are aiming for? Thanks to Mike, I now have a better understanding and my collection increases in caliber, value and prestige with each completed project. Thank you for your hard work and all the sweat over those very special details and processes that set your work far apart from other restorations I’ve had done in the past. Your shop is truthfully, one in a million.

With a true commitment to the absolute highest standards, Mike Mancini and the AMCRI crew have a proven track record of consistent award winning results. If you truly want the best of the best and will settle for no less, you need to consider working with the American Muscle Car Restorations, Inc. team.

Bob Ashton, Founding Member MCACN, "The Pebble Beach of Muscle Cars"

Mike Mancini and his crew at American Muscle Car Restorations completed an concours OE GOLD restoration on my 1969 Dodge Daytona, it has garnered top awards at every event it’s ever been displayed or entered in (Mopar OE, Concours d’Elegance, MCACN, etc.). Their care and attention to detail is second to none. Extreme consideration was given to each and every part and/or component on the car which of course resulted in a perfect representation of a (best case scenario) factory assembled vehicle.  It’s easy to go over the top and make a car better than new in regards to paint and detail, but Mike and crew know how and when to stop so that the car represents a true OEM assembly line build. Being in the Mopar restoration parts supply business (Tony’s Mopar Parts) for the better part of my life, I am familiar with the majority of the restoration shops and was happy I chose American Muscle Car Restorations.  They also can do over the top paint and body work as I had them perform on my original black 1932 Ford that’s been a hot rod in my family since 1952. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing any of their services.

Tony D’Agostino, Mopar Expert & Owner of Tony's Mopar Parts

As many of you know I have been involved with many over the top restorations. Mike and his crew are the first operation I have ever witnessed that have the ability to not only do all the physical work needed to create a world class finished product they also have the knowledge of what is assembly line correct. I assure the latter is an attribute that you will not find elsewhere no matter how much the other shops tell you they know what’s right. Recently I had the pleasure of working directly with Mike on a 1964 AC Cobra project and was thoroughly pleased with the outcome and attention to detail.

Steven Juliano, Noted Collector

I have known Mike Mancini for over 10 years. I met him prior to his starting American Muscle Car Restorations. After spending some time getting to know him and his love & passion for muscle, classic and antique cars, he told me, with great excitement, that he was going to be opening his own shop. The dashboard & gauge restoration work he did for me prior his opening American Muscle Car Restorations was spectacular; better than anything I had seen in my 30 years as a collector of old cars. Over those 30 years, I had body work, paint work, interior, mechanical & brightwork of different levels of quality performed at different restoration shops across the country. I could see from Mike’s work that I had found the absolute finest craftsman in any field of automotive restoration. Once I was informed that he was starting American Muscle Car Restorations, I asked only one thing of Mike; could I be the 1st customer?
I have been a customer since he opened. He has restored cars as varied as a 1970 Chevelle SS396, 1965 Corvette, 1957 E-code Thunderbird, 1967 GTO, 1947 Wood bodied Chrysler; he is currently completing our latest project – a body off restoration of a rare 1940 Packard Super 8 Woodie Wagon.
I am pleased to say that the cars he restored for me have taken 1st in class at such prestigious events as the Hilton Head Concours, Greenwich Concours & Keeneland Concours. In those shows, the cars Mike restored bested much more expensive Cords, Marmons, Cadillacs as well as Fords, Chevrolets and even a 1929 Stutz.
We currently have a car we hope to show at Pebble Beach this year; YES, his work is that good. He’s simply the best I have ever seen. He can restore a ’71 Hemi ‘Cuda as well as ’33 Pierce Arrow.
Working with the entire American Muscle Car Restorations organization is an absolute pleasure. The team’s depth of knowledge and willingness to get every small detail just right is amazing.
Mike and American Muscle Car Restorations are what the old car hobby should be all about; enjoyment as well as perfection done with care, honesty and attention to detail. Tucked away in a corner of Rhode Island is a world class shop that not only competes with, but bests every restoration shop that has produced an award-winning car.
YES, they are that good.
I cannot wait to start my next project.

I’ve been following Mike Mancini’s work for about 10 years now. As a retired restoration professional, and OE Mopar judge, I can tell you he consistently creates some of the county’s nicest, OE correct restorations.

When it comes to instrument cluster restoration, he’s simply the best I’ve seen.

Paul Jacobs, OE Mopar Expert

Mike’s shop is one of the most clean and organized that I’ve laid my eyes on.  Each of my cars have been treated to the utmost care and quality from start to finish. I’ve literally won every show I’ve entered them in. Mike’s work is based on a unique philosophy grounded in quality and attention to detail that is really hard to find elsewhere. His billing process is highly detailed and very informative. With each invoice, I receive a written report of exactly what was done on my project. This not only keeps me in the loop, but also creates an incredible documented history of the entire restoration. This is a huge value adder in my opinion. For all the expense of these restorations, I can say without a doubt, the money I’ve spent at Mike’s shop for the unparalleled attention to detail and authenticity is worth quite a bit more on the other end. You just don’t find work like this. Thank you for caring, your shops work brings this hobby to another level.

I have known Mike for a good while now and have been able to experience and evaluate the quality of his work.  Mike’s attention to detail is exactly what we look for at my shop.  I specialize in survivors and  can rely on Mike to give me a quality product every time. As far as I am concerned, my search is over for someone that has the knowledge and expertise to provide us with excellent dash component and gauge cluster rebuilds, steering columns, heater boxes, ash tray restorations and quality paint finishes. No need to look any further than Mike!

Frank Badalson, Recognized Mopar Expert, Parts Supplier and Restorer

Stopping in at your restoration facility was a really good decision made when I was in your “neighborhood”.  You and I have been friends for a long time and I’ve never been to your shop, after my visit, I feel compelled to send you this note.  Having restored many Mopars over the last 25 years myself, I can say this, “what you are doing is nothing short of amazing!”  I have seen and inspected many of the beautiful OE Gold cars you’ve produced and had judged over the years, seeing them “in process” first hand, I am exceedingly impressed with your processes.  Restoring and judging a car as a true ”OE” is extremely difficult and expensive. Nice to see it done correctly, to the level of detail required and the knowledge it takes to do it. I can say, with all certainty,  your company is in the top 1/10th of 1% of all restoration shops doing this type of work.  Great job young man!!

Mike Ross, Owner, B/E & A Restoration Parts, Inc.

Scott Smith, CEO, Harms Automotive

I’ve been restoring classic cars for years and have been blessed to be a customer at AMCR. Mike Mancini has built a team that is passionate, talented, detailed and extremely hard working. The team works together to achieve the best restored product in the business. If you have passion and the ability to allow them to take a car as far as they can to original OE standards the results are unimaginable. The communication and documentation is open and clear and they actually make the process exciting and fun. There is no better shop that I could recommend than Mike and the team at American Muscle Car Restorations.

I couldn’t be happier with the quality of the restoration of my Road Runner resto-mod. It is everything I hoped for and more. It was really great how we collaborated on the details of the build and you were so flexible and easy to work with. It was a thrill to display the car at your booth at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals and win both a Gold and the Platinum Pick Judges Choice for Best Plymouth Modified. And have the car featured in Mopar Muscle. The awards speak to the quality of your work, and the car drives as nice as it looks. Thank you to the talented team at American Muscle Car Restorations!
